Description:

Crownshaft yellow-green to brown in color. Second best choice in King Palm for cold tolerance after A. illawarra. Not tolerant of heavy winds. Has characteristic trunk rings left from leaf base scars. Very attractive as solitary specimen or in clusters. Flowers are lilac to red when mature. Relatively fast grower at one to two feet per year.
